ONDC is an open-source platform designed to democratise

ecommerce in India and bring small businesses online.

As a private non-profit initiative supported by DPIIT, ONDC strives to make ecommerce more accessible across the country. Companies such as Delhivery, Paytm, PhonePe, Shiprocket, Dunzo, and boAt Lifestyle, among others have integrated their services with ONDC.

The platform has been steadily expanding by adding new categories and broadening its services throughout India.

ONDC logged a 21% month-on-month growth in transactions to 12 Mn in July, compared to 10 Mn a month ago.

As per an internal analysis, the platform has also captured around 3% of Swiggy and Zomato’s total food order volumes across India.
