Indian automotive company Bajaj Auto is reportedly set to launch the world's first CNG-powered bike today.
According to media reports, the bike will be called Bajaj Freedom.
While the bike will primarily run on petrol, riders will have the option to switch to CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) at the press of a button.
The launch of the Bajaj CNG bike has the potential to significantly reduce fuel expenses and lower emissions, paving the way for this technology to be incorporated into more models.
As per CNGpost[dot]hu, Iran has the highest number of CNG-powered vehicles, with a fleet of 4 million. China closely follows with a similar number.
Interestingly, Pakistan has 3.7 million CNG-powered vehicles, while Argentina and Brazil make the top five list. India ranks sixth in the number of CNG-powered vehicles.
